JAMS Theatre Company is a comprehensive drama program for students interested in all aspects of theatre performance and production. Includes workshops in acting, improv, movement for actors, costume/set/lighting/sound design for theatre, vocal technique, dance for theatre, and more!
The company is open to all committed students, without a participation fee, and will meet on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:15 till 5:15pm, after the school day has ended in the Auditorium or the Dance Room (depending on scheduling).

Boys and Girls Club
The Boys and Girls of Santa Monica has a satellite station at John Adams Middle School. Activities, after school tutoring, athletics, and special events are sponsored on campus every day after school. Membership is $25 per year and scholorships are available. No student is turned away! See your counselor or community liaison for membership application.
California Junior Scholarship Federation
CJSF
The California Junior Scholarship Federation is one of 620 chapters of an organization that fosters high standards of scholarship, community service, and citizenship in public and private schools in the state. CJSF is for 7th and 8th graders.

CHILD CARE - RECREATION - ENRICHMENT - SPORTS- TOGETHER!
Boys and girls in grades 6 to 8 participate in traditional sports leagues with two practices per week and a weekly game on Saturdays. Practices are structured to teach participants sportsmanship and the basic skills of basketball in preparation for upcoming league games. No playoffs.

Cross Currents
CrossCurrents is a literary magazine published each semester that includes short stories, poems, essays, photos and drawings created by John Adams students. The club meets after school and is open to any John Adams student. Contact Mr. Saling in Room 95 (x195) for more info.
National Junior Honor Society
The purpose of the National Junior Honor Society shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage excellent citizenship. Members must have C's or better and excellent citizenship in their classes. Members must attend all meetings and participate in the service projects. Meetings ae held on Thursdays during lunch. If you love swimming and team sports, try water polo! No swim team or water polo experience necessary. Be part of the team in fun practices & games.
